"All my life I have loved photographs. Whether old or new, complex or simple, posed or unexpected, the very moment in time they capture is of great interest to me. What is photographed and put to paper will never be seen again like that moment in time. My goal is to capture these moments, so they may be remembered in the days, years, or decades to come." Linda K. Toups

I think I'm going to get my fill of taking pictures of fireworks this year! The definition of photography is 'painting with light'. Fireworks photos give you a chance to do just that, to paint with light what the eye never really sees. One of my favorite things to do with photography is take some photos, then break the rules. This evening I forgot to bring my tripod, which means not as steady a shot as one might like. So, why not exaggerate it and truly - paint with light? Photos #3137 - #3146, I did just that. With shutters ranging from 1 second to 4 seconds, I intentionally moved the camera in a slow circle while the shutter was open during a firework burst. Never knowing what the burst is when you click, and never seeing it looking through the viewfinder, it was a surprise each time as to what I would get. I am in awe over photo #3139! What a beauty! So the rule still stands, never hesitate to break the rules. These photos are unedited except for a couple of crops.
These photos are my living, please do not right click
and take them!
